To commemorate the NYC-area visit of THE WHO in early March 2007,
we've put together an exclusive local showing of

On display now through April 1, 2007

An exhibition and sale of limited-edition, signed prints from the RockPoP Gallery collection,

hosted by Just Kids Nostalgia in Huntington, LI, NY

(Portraits of Pete and Keith, plus "The Who - Generations")

The late John Entwistle, who died in 2002 at the age of 57, was a creative individual beyond his position as the influential bassist with The Who. He also documented the life of the band in his artwork in cartoon form.

Speaking before his death, Entwistle said: "Art is a relaxation from the music, and then my music becomes a relaxation from the art.” In recent years, Entwistle became noted for his whimsical artwork, which featured caricatures of famous rockers.

On display will be a number of his prints, including portraits of his bandmates, his "connect-the-dots" cover image for The Who's 1975 album "Who By Numbers", and the last print he made prior to his death - a tribute to four great rock guitarists, titled "Guitar Gods". All of the prints are available for sale, and would make great gifts for any fan of The Who.

About Just Kids Nostalgia:

Located in Huntington Village for over 28 years and now in its new location at 342 New York Ave., Just Kids Nostalgia has been serving collectors of vintage records, posters, photographs, toys and music/movie/TV memorabilia via its retail locations and extremely popular online auctions. With happy customers both locally and all over the world, the retailer’s offering is a priceless treasure trove of collectibles and one that appeals to multi-media fans of all ages. The new location in Huntington also offers high-quality custom framing services and is always working with collectors, studios and estates to secure the best collections to offer its customers.

As exemplified by its extensive and ever-changing inventory, the direction in the store has broadened to include art in many media disciplines, including vintage celebrity photographs, vintage vinyl records, movie posters and rock and roll memorabilia, along with celebrity-owned and autographed items of all kinds.

The contemporary collectibles 'explosion' has been fueled in part by the growing number of “baby-boomers” who have a strong desire to own collectible pieces of their own histories, be it items from their favorite TV and movie stars, their favorite musical acts, comic books, toys, etc. Discriminating collectors will want to know that the items that they’re looking to add to their collections are authentic and valued appropriately, and so retailers like Just Kids Nostalgia are there to provide that degree of confidence and authentication.

Among the items that Just Kids Nostalgia has sold include:

·         “Angels With Dirty Faces” movie poster, the Humphrey Bogart classic from the 1930s,
which sold for over $6,000;

·         A spectacular example of the oversized pressbook from The Bride of Frankenstein,
which sold for $6,500;

·         The original Harvey Kurtzman artwork used as the logo on the first Mad Magazine,
selling for over $10,000;

·         A “Hopalong Cassidy” Bicycle, selling for $2,000.

In the store, you’ll also find movie posters for sale from classic films such as The Godfather, Raging Bull, A Christmas Story, Chinatown, Rocky, Star Wars, Raiders of The Lost Arc and many more. There are thousands of posters in stock, ranging in price from $25 to $300.
