To say that Madonna was riding high on a wave of popularity and controversy at this point in her career would be an understatement. Having just played “Breathless Mahoney” in the Dick Tracy movie, she released “I’m Breathless” to her insatiable fans. The record included the mega-hit “Vogue” and the Academy Award-winning “Sooner or Later”. She pulled out all of the stops for the production numbers included in her show (her ultra-physical performance of “Like a Virgin” prompted many “letters to the editor” both for and against her choice of imagery and dance moves).

The Blonde Ambition World Tour 1990 stopped in Japan 4/13/90 through 4/27/90, then moved to North America for shows 5/4/90 through 6/25/90, ending with a slate of shows in Europe from 7/1/90 through 8/5/90. All dates and venues are detailed on this poster.
