The total edition was limited to 500 total prints published in 1997 by Smart Alec Art in CA, all signed in pencil by the artist, John Entwistle. This total included 350 signed & numbered prints in the "U.S. Edition", along with 50 APs and 100 prints (Roman Numerals I/C thru C/C) in an exclusive "European Edition", which are the prints currently in stock in our Gallery.

As busy as he was in the 1990's, John’s “other career” as a collectible graphic artist was also taking off. He started with the release of a limited edition serigraph of his “Who by Numbers” cover, closely followed by B&W cartoon prints of his bandmates in The Who, and then this full-color "Generations" print.

Here, John depicts each band member in the decade that best illustrates their personality … Keith the crazy man of the 60’s; Pete wind-milling through the 70’s; Roger's famous golden doo from the 80’s and himself as the sophisticated bass player of the 90’s.

This was one of the final limited-editions prints ever done by John and is all but sold out.
