About the Photographer -

Chosen in 2008 as Retna’s contest winner for “the next great live shooter”, Canadian photographer Steven Perrault began exploring photography at the age of nineteen. For the next ten years he’d be exposed to a variety of personal hardships that would forever affect the lens through which he’d view his subject material, resulting in works that explore duality, honesty, innocence, darkness and intrigue. His editorial portraits and concert photography – produced via a mix of traditional and digital photographic techniques - create immediate moments of surrealism that surpass comprehension of color and emotion.

With over 10 years of experience in creative portrait photography, live subject photography, studio sessions, and an archive of professional concert photographs generously spilling over into the thousands, Steven Perreault innovation and dedication to perfection has not only created a name for himself (and his Cornershop Studios business), he has also expanded his ability to adhere to an ever changing society by staying flexible to style and trend.
