After Vince Clarke's departure, it was now Martin Gore's turn to set the direction for the group's music going forward, and he proved himself worthy when the song "See You" charted higher than anything they'd done in the past. David Gahan's vocals are now an integral part of the DM sound.

This photo was shot in Hertfordshire, just off the Motorway M11, and all effects were achieved in camera.
