Shot in BG's studio in London's SE16, this wonderful image was all done in camera, with the fascinating effect (featuring vocalist Richard Butler's face) achieved using a light machine that Mr. Griffin "invented on the basis of a chess board".
The record that catapulted the Psychedelic Fur's to success - and a broader audience - "Mirror Moves" included some of the group's most-remembered songwriting, including the hits "The Ghost in You" and "Heaven", as well as "Highwire Days", which continued to illustrate the band's political awareness and sensitivity to 80's-era paranoias. |
