To accompany the band's KISS Alive/35 World Tour (which began in Europe in 2008 and continues on in the U.S. and Canada in 2009), the band offered a series of special-edition 2-disc CD recordings from each show, with the cover images showing original members Paul and Gene along with new members Tommy and Eric in full KISS costumes.

In addition to playing most all of the tracks from the original 1975 Live! concert, the band is adding a few new tunes from 2009's Sonic Boom to their set list.
