This photograph was taken in Neil’s studio in Hollywood, CA in 2001.
Dragontown was released September 2001 on Spitfire Records and was the follow-up to Brutal Planet and a third part in the trilogy begun with The Last Temptation, released in 1994. As always, Cooper’s in a dark mood, but his demented humor shines through (listen to Elvis being denied entrance to Heaven on “Disgraceland” because they “already have a King!”).
Neil’s cover photo (and the others included in the CD booklet) remind fans that Alice was doing the Devil’s work long before Leatherface, Chucky and Freddy Krueger!
