The legend of Marshall amplification began in London in 1962 in Jim Marshall's music shop. After listening to the needs of the musicians who frequented his shop, he embarked on an effort to give them what they asked for - and, boy did he succeed!

Over the years, with Pete Townshend, Eric Clapton, Ritchie Blackmore and Jimi Hendrix serving as their best pitchmen, Marshall has grown into a company with a wide range of tube-and-transistor-powered products, but it is the "Full Stack" (powered head and 2 cabinets, each with 4 12" Celestion speakers) that stands alone as the world's most famous amplifier.
