Magical Mystery Tour, somewhat confusingly, was released both as an album in the U.S. on Capitol Records in late November 1967 and as a double EP on Parlophone in the U.K. in early December. It was also the music featured in a film by the same name, seen on BBC-TV, but after receiving poor reviews from both critics and viewers, ABC in the U.S. cancelled its plans to air it and it wasn't seen in the U.S. until 1976 (and then, as a film in the theaters).

 

The current CD has all 11 tracks on it, combining the music from the EPs and Beatles hits from that year, including "Strawberry Fields Forever," "All You Need Is Love," "The Fool on the Hill," "Penny Lane," and "Hello Goodbye," which were all great tunes and are perennial favorites.
