Also available as a limited-edition RockIconz sculpture - Brian's friend, co-songwriter and vocalist extraordinaire,
Freddie Mercury.
Brian May (CBE) has earned his place in rock history as one of the most accomplished and talented contemporary guitarists. He wrote many of Queen's most famous songs and biggest hits, including "We Will Rock You", "Fat Bottomed Girls", "Tie Your Mother Down", "Who Wants to Live Forever" and "I Want It All". Using his own designs and development processes, he built (with his father) his own guitar - called the "Red Special" - using wood from a mantelpiece.
With a musical career spanning almost three decades, May is also known as an influential and highly successful songwriter, astrophysicist, author and, as of November, 2007, Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University, one of the world’s leading authorities in Astrophysics and Astronomy (!!).
