Released in 1979, Greatest Hits is a fine sampler of the British rock singer’s first four Warner Brothers albums, including most of the solo hits ("Hot Legs", "You’re In My Heart", "Da Ya Think I’m Sexy", "I Don’t Want To Talk About It", etc.)

Roderick David Stewart, whose soulful stylings made him one of the key frontmen of the late 1960’s/early 1970’s rock scenes (as a member of the Jeff Beck Group and the Faces), has enjoyed an amazing resurgence in popularity these past few years with his remakes of standards from the classic showtunes and rock hits songbooks. After being inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, he won the 2005 Grammy Award for “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album” for Stardust…The Great American Songbook Volume 3, and to date has sold over 250 million records (giving him the resources to buy a new football jersey each day for the rest of Eternity).

Sir Elton John has gone on record as saying that Rod is "the best singer in rock ‘n roll" – I can’t argue with the Rocket Man…
