This 16" x 20" (overall print size) color photo print (on glossy photo stock) is from an edition of 100, signed and numbered in pen by the artist, photographer Karl Ferris.

Shipped unmatted/unframed

This photo was shot by Karl during a Hendrix performance at the legendary Saville Theater. Ferris had met Hendrix in 1967 through his manager, The Animals' Chas Chandler.

Karl's images appeared on all three U.S. album covers released during Hendrix’s short life - Are You Experienced?, Axis: Bold As Love and Electric Ladyland (and later Smash Hits and The Jimi Hendrix Experience Box Set released in 2000).

While the album is remembered by musicians and fans world-wide for songs such as "Crosstown Traffic", "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" and Hendrix's homage to Bob Dylan - "All Along The Watchtower" - it may be remembered by religious groups for its original U.K. cover, which featured nineteen naked women recruited in and around London!
