Rock Iconz Jimi Hendrix "Color" Limited-Edition Collectible Statue
Rock Iconz Jimi Hendrix "Color" Limited-Edition Collectible Statue
In Stock (2)

Sculpted in resin by a skilled team of artists, then hand-painted in fine detail, standing approx. 9" high. It is offered in a very limited, numbered edition of 3000. Jimi is shown with one of his trademark Fender Stratocasters (R) and is standing on a resin "regal crest" display base (see image, below).

This is an official Hendrix collectible product, licensed by the estate of Jimi Hendrix.

“The great guitarists of rock are in their own universe and Jimi was 'The Big Bang'. Everything was different in music after he hit the scene in 1966 and 67", says Tony Simerman, President and Creative Director of KnuckleBonz, Inc. The color scheme of this sculpture pays homage to the flamboyant fashion sense of that time.

#1 on Rolling Stone magazine's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time", James Marshall Hendrix had only begun to set the music world on fire when he died at the age of 27 in 1971 (a very bad year for music, overall). As a studio musician, he broke new ground in using electronic devices such as phasers, electronic feedback and stereo effects to take his Earth sounds (as he called them) into Space.

I always thought that it was cool that his middle name was "Marshall".
