These limited-edition prints were taken from original Pen and Ink drawings that he did of each individual band member. John’s ever-present sense of humor is evident in these drawings. You'll note that all prints after his “Who by Numbers” image included a sketch of Boris the Spider.
These images were the second series of limited edition prints John did in 1996. He originally worked only in pen and ink, and the “Who by Numbers” print and these images of the four band members are the only black and white ones that were published as prints. Each image depicts the John and his band mates as they looked in the 1960’s and 70’s.
