"This loving portrait of John Lennon, inspired by the photography of Allan Tannenbaum, is actually two portraits in one. The reflection in John's glasses is of his wife, Yoko Ono. This painting in essence captures the two of them looking at each other.
I had the opportunity to meet Yoko and gave her a photo of the painting. She was visibly moved - and it was a very satisfying moment."
