The Clash "The Clash" album cover fabric poster
The Clash "The Clash" album cover fabric poster
In Stock (2)
Officially-licensed collectible print with the image reproduced on a silk-like, washable and durable 100% polyester fabric - it won't rip like a paper poster. The quality of the printing is really impressive, and its approx. 30" x 40" size will make it the focal point wherever you hang it up.

Light as a feather, the print can be hung using tape, velcro, tacks, clips, poster hanger sets, etc.. Take a dowel rod and some clips and turn it into a flag (you'll be the center of attention at your home-town parades, no doubt!). Of course, you'll want to bring it to the next political rally or football match you attend - just be mindful that others will want to have it for their very own  :-)

The first full-length recording by English punk/rock/reggae band The Clash was released in 1977 and established Strummer, Jones, Simonon & Co. as a team a bit different than other punk bands of the era, both in the quality and variety of the musical influences evident in their songs and in the topicality of their lyrics.

The album's front cover photo was shot by photographer Kate Simon, who has also shot well-known images for Bob Marley, David Johansen, Peter Tosh, Patti Smith and many others. It was taken in the alley near the front door of the band's rehearsal building in London’s open air Camden Market. The cover shot did not feature departing drummer Terry Chimes, and the rear cover featured a photo by Rocco Macauly of the 1976 riots at the Notting Hill Carnival, the event which provided the inspiration for the controversial track “White Riot”.

The Clash was listed as #77 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time".
