In George's words - "These guys were one of the first and longest-lasting punk bands from the East Village of NYC. I saw them perform many times and photographed a few of their gigs.

This photo was taken in 1983 for publicity for the "Hexbreaker" release. It is a lucky coincidence that the flames formed two "horns" over (guitarist) Keith (Steng's) head."

Formed in 1976 in Queens, NY, The Fleshtones were true proponents of "garage rock" years before it "originated" in Seattle. Fuzz-boxed guitars, Farfisa Combo Compact organs, witty lyricism and endless energy have supported the band thru their nearly 30-year career.
