29" x 29” (overall print size), 36-color, hand-pulled serigraph printed on Somerset Velvet Radiant White paper stock, from an original work of art by John Entwistle. The edition consisted of 250 numbered for the U.S., 50 Artist Proofs, and 100 numbered (in Roman Numerals) designated as the “European Edition”. Published by Smart Alec Art, Inc., Ft. Collins, CO.
The printing of the limited-edition prints was supervised by JE, and the complete edition was to be signed 6/27/02, but Entwistle passed away that morning. At the request of his manager and his family, JE’s signature was screened onto each print in the lower right-hand corner. The signature also contains a sketch of “Boris The Spider”, and the Entwistle family crest is embossed below the signature.

As busy as he was in the 1990's, John’s “other career” as a collectible graphic artist was also taking off. He started with the release of a limited edition serigraph of his “Who by Numbers” cover, closely followed by B&W cartoon prints of his bandmates in The Who, and finally his full-color prints.
The title of this piece - “Guitar Gods” - describes the axemen who John considered as the greatest guitar players to come out of England. The collage features Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and Pete Townshend. When asked about the inclusion of Jimi Hendrix, John stated that "it took the British to discover Hendrix’s talent".
This was the final limited-editions print ever done by John, and it is all but sold out.
