RockPoP Gallery is proud to be able to offer you this great Rock Iconz® figure - The Who's Roger Daltry.

Portrayed as he looked in the early 1970's and in a signature pose - with microphone held high - this figure of Roger Daltry stands approx. 9" high. All figures in the Rock Iconz series are produced in limited editions, with the exclusive Daltry figure in an edition of only 3000 pieces. This is an officially licensed product from The Who.

The Roger Daltry Rock Iconz statue is created by a team of highly skilled artists who first sculpt a remarkable likeness of the guitarist, with the limited edition figures cast in a poly-resin and hand-painted in fine detail. Each sculpture in the Rock Iconz series is numbered and displayed on an attractive wooden base and comes with a screen printed certificate of authenticity.

Roger Daltrey CBE (b. 1944) is best known as the founder and lead singer of The Who.

One of rock's most exciting and charismatic lead singers, Daltry's on-stage act and the depth of emotion he shows in his singing has made him one of the most-loved frontmen in the history of Rock & Roll. An accomplished microphone juggler (how DOES he not crack his head open at least once per show?), it is his trademark scream (coming straight from his core and thwacks like an arrow into the souls of his fans) and his uncanny ability to vocally embody his bandmates' compositions that has set the stage for many a lead singer that has followed.

This sculpture portrays him as he appeared in the early 1970's, wearing his hair long in curly blond locks and the somewhat-androgynous costuming of the period (although, anyone that knew him would always attest that he was, first and foremost, a tough street fighter). He would sport a similar look in his screen role as Tommy, which was one of the many film, TV and theatrical roles he's played in his career since forming the band that would ultimately become The Who in the early 1960's.

Among his many honors have been being dubbed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) "for services to Music, the Entertainment Industry and Charity" and, along with bandmate Pete Townshend, a Kennedy Center Honor in 2008, given annually "for exemplary lifetime achievement in the performing arts".
