Recently-added items - As we come to the close of Summer here in Portland (corn and peaches are in season and the 2010 Oregon grape harvest is getting underway!) we're working hard to bring you some new fine art items that will let you continue to add some color and sunshine to your lives. Now in stock - From the talented hand of famed illustrator Wayno - pen and ink portraits (from his "File Under:Pop" collection) of 12 classic rock/pop/jazz acts from Bowie and The B-52s to The Smiths and The Velvet Underground. - New photo prints from the great George DuBose, including a fine art print of Madonna, captured in her first live appearance as the lead singer in the Breakfast Club, and his cover shot for singer Melissa Etheridge's debut recording.
- Ioannis has graciously offered to sell a signed, limited-edition print of the magical artwork he created for Blue Oyster Cult's 2001 release titled Curse of the Hidden Mirror for an amazing price - only $39! Take a look, and tell your friends and fans of classic metal (and classic album cover artwork). Only 50 available at this price.
- Very few bands are hotter than modern Proggers Muse, and so of course they chose the talented Storm Thorgerson to handle album cover duties for their Absolution record - a great ST image at a very affordable price for a classic fine art cover print.
- We've unearthed a rare stash of tour posters featuring the fantastic image from the cover of Joe Walsh's 1992 solo record Songs For A Dying Planet (only $30 - cheap!);
- New limited-edition framed presentation plaques (gold records, CDs and picture discs) celebrating AC/DC, Def Leppard, KISS (35th), Michael Jackson's Scream and RUSH from Photofile/CA Gold and Filmcells Ltd.
- The always-popular Howie Green has added more new album cover recreations, including covers for Neil Young, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Molly Hatchett, Derek & The Dominos, and The Moody Blues.
- Three awesome, special-edition fine art prints - hand-embellished by the artist - by famed artist Ioannis are now available, including album cover and tour art images for The Allman Brothers Band, Bon Jovi and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Also available - a special edition print - signed by Bob Weir and The Allman Brothers Band - that's a fund-raiser for the TJ Martell Foundation. Check it out!
- News flash - We've have just a couple of fantastic images left by the late, great Mati Klarwein - your last chance to buy limited-edition or artist proof prints of Time, Blessing and The Annunciation (used on Santana's Abraxas album). Only 1-2 of each are available.
Other great items in stock - Famed photographer Elliott Landy has released an awesome psychedelic image featuring Janis Joplin and Big Brother & The Holding Company - it was used on the back of their famous Cheap Thrills LP that featured R. Crumb's great comic-style cover. Yellow Submarine fans now have 2 choices of fine art for their homes - Jon B. at Dennilu has released a limited-edition FRAMED sericel of the cover of the soundtrack to The Beatles' Yellow Submarine (you must see this - it's just beautiful), while Howie Green's own interpretation of YS artwork make a VERY colorful statement on any wall!
